Alva

I did some of these variations for a currently unnamed project of my own (a visual novel/RPG) where the world is split into four territories; the East, West, North and South. Though these territories were previously at war due to a scandal that ended with the Eastern king dead and his daughter defected, a greater threat has forced them to join forces. These are some early concepts of the romanceable companion "Alva," the guardian of the Northern king, Calder. 

As a fighter in a male-dominant land (in the North, brute strength is valued above all things), Alva has built up a rough exterior and a nasty reputation as feral and frigid- tl;dr, she’s got a mean glare that could curdle milk. Underneath all that, though, she’s a lonely woman who doesn’t have any family, puts way too much pressure on herself, and doesn’t know how to relate to others socially.

The North is characterized by harsh, cold environments, and it’s citizens are warriors, hunters and skilled weapon smiths... it's kind of like a land of vikings! It's going to be so fun to design some outfits for the North... probably lots of pelts and leathers! Over the next little bit, I’ll probably upload all of the Rulers and their guardians! (Wish I could show all of the variations of tattoos, hairs, scars, ect. but it would take too mcuh room )
